Launching a Comprehensive Advanced Process Safety Management Practical Training Program in Collaboration with Leading Government Agencies, Academic Institutions, and Industry Partners to Develop Safety Professionals and Enhance Sustainable Industrial Safety Standards

The Faculty of Engineering, Burapha University, would like to express gratitude to the executives, faculty members, and stakeholders from various sectors, including the Faculty of Engineering at Burapha University, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, the Department of Industrial Works, the Engineering Institute of Thailand under Royal Patronage, the Ministry of Science and Technology, as well as executives and employees from the industrial sector who have jointly developed and promoted the "New Breed Graduate" program, the Advanced Process Safety Management training course lasting 6 months for 50 executives and employees from industrial establishments, to apply knowledge in developing industrial plants for sustainable safety.

The Faculty of Engineering, Burapha University, has launched a practical training program on "Advanced Process Safety Management" through collaboration between the Department of Advanced Materials Engineering and Sicher Co., Ltd., under budget support from the New Breed Graduate Project. The goal is to enhance knowledge and skills in process safety, supporting the elevation of safety standards and sustainability in the Thai industrial sector.

The opening ceremony was held on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 08:30 to 14:30 at the EEC Automation Park, Faculty of Engineering, Burapha University. The ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Somtavil Charitquor, Vice President for Academic Affairs, with Assistant Professor Dr. Nayos Kurukitkoson, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, welcoming the participants, and Assistant Professor Dr. Komkrit Wongtimno, Head of the Department of Advanced Materials Engineering, reporting the project details.

The event featured a panel discussion on "The Importance of Advanced Process Safety and Enhancing Thai Industrial Capabilities" by distinguished speakers from leading organizations, including Professor Dr. Anchalee Varitsawatdee Lothongkam, expert from the Engineering Institute of Thailand under Royal Patronage, Mr. Wisisak Krisanaphan, expert engineer from the Factory Safety Technology Promotion Division, Department of Industrial Works, and Mr. Chayathana Chaimongkol, Managing Director of Sicher Co., Ltd.

Additionally, there was a special lecture on "Directions for Developing Process Safety Management" by Mrs. Buppha Kavinvasin, Deputy Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, to reflect the approach to elevating safety in the country's industrial sector.

This activity was organized to support the Thai industrial sector in safety and efficient production, relying on cooperation from government agencies, professional institutions, and leading private sector safety companies.

The Faculty of Engineering, Burapha University, adheres to the vision "Leading Engineering Faculty for Eastern Region Industrial Development" by focusing on developing the potential of industrial personnel involved in process safety management systems, from safety officers, engineers, managers, to senior executives, to promote safety awareness, professional ethics, and elevate the welfare of Thai industry to be safe and sustainable in the long term.
